He is a lecturer of the Deparment of Information and Communication Sciences (University of Granada) and Director of the Scientific Evaluation Unit. He is a researcher in the EC3 Research Group (Evaluaci\u00f3n de la Ciencia y de la Comunicaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica). He is also the CEO of the EC3metrics spin-off and coordinator of the Digital Science Section in Medialab UGR. He is a co-author of evaluation tools such as Cient\u00edficacvn, Rankings I-UGR de Universidades, Clasificaci\u00f3n CIRC, Bipublishers and UGRinvestiga. He has published more than 70 scientific publications in journals indexed in the Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics). He teaches courses on scholarly communication, altmetrics and scientific career, amongst other topics.
