The presentation will take place at the Alison Richard Building, as part of an event bringing together experts in technology and social sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"940\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/uchass.ugr.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4179\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Encarnaci\u00f3n&#8217;s talk poster<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Developed through a collaboration between linguists and computer scientists since 2017, <em>Nutcracker<\/em> stands out for its ability to distinguish extremist from non-extremist profiles, identify potential misinformation spreaders, and analyze linguistic patterns that reveal shared sentiments and attitudes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This interdisciplinary effort merges advanced linguistic analysis with computational techniques to combat challenges such as radicalization and online hate speech. As misinformation continues to polarize public discourse, <em>Nutcracker<\/em> provides a valuable tool to better understand and address these dynamics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This presentation is part of the activities Encarnaci\u00f3n is carrying out during her tenure as a visiting at Cambridge.
