The lecture series on humanities, language, and artificial intelligence “Humans on AIr” will begin with a presentation by Lynne Bowker, professor of translation, technologies, and society at Laval University in Quebec. Widely recognized for her work on machine translation, translation technologies, specialized language, and academic and scientific communication, Lynne Bowker will address a topic of great current relevance in her talk: the impact of the proliferation of tools and the popularization of artificial intelligence on the field and profession of translation.
