Biography

Lidia Bocanegra Barbecho is Permanent Tenured Lecturer (Doctor) in the Department of Contemporary History at the University of Granada (UGR). A guarantor member of the Computational Humanities and Social Sciences Unit (U-CHASS) and a member of the South Training Network Action of Decoloniality (STAND-UGR) research group. During her postdoctoral research, she has specialised in Digital Humanities, Citizen Science, and Citizen Humanities, being PI and Co-PI of the following research projects: E-xiliad@s (Ref. 12/2009 and 20/2011); Crowdsourcing en Historia. Nuevos retos metodológicos participativos e inclusivos en la investigación histórica en España (PID2020-117619RB-I00) and Co-Historia- Análisis de la Participación Pública en la investigación histórica desde el ámbito de la ciencia ciudadana (E-HUM-507-UGR18). She is an Editorial board member of the following academic journals: Humanities & Social Sciences Communications (Springer Nature) and Revista de Historia Regional, relevant scientific journals indexed in Scopus. She is also a member of the Association for Computers and the Humanities (ACH), where she collaborates in various annual international conferences as a speaker and as a member of scientific committees. She is an expert in designing high-level European research projects, holding a Master’s degree in European Project Design from the Venice International University. Since 2016, she has been an expert evaluator for the European Commission for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie calls.
